Who we are
GAiRM (Guided Access to Referral & Mutual-aid) is a coordination platform that helps emergency responders connect people in the field with local service providers. It is operated by Reformed Finch LLC at gairm.info.
What we collect
- Account information. Name, work email, and login credentials (passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes) for staff at responder and provider organizations.
- Organization listings. Information provider organizations choose to publish: services offered, contact details, hours, service areas, and logos.
- Referral records. When a responder refers someone to a provider, we store the referral's case number, timestamps, and any notes the responder writes. Referrals are designed to be anonymized handoffs — do not enter names or other identifying details of the person being helped.
- Location. With your permission, the app uses your device's location to find providers whose service area covers where you are. Location is used to answer that query; we do not build location histories.
- Technical logs. Standard server logs (IP address, request timing) and an audit trail of changes to listings and referrals, kept for security, reliability, and accountability.
How we use it
Only to operate and improve the service: showing responders the right providers, delivering referrals, moderating listings, keeping the platform secure, and providing support. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who processes it on our behalf
GAiRM runs on infrastructure providers that process data under our instructions: Fly.io (application hosting), Neon (database), Cloudflare (DNS and file storage), and MapTiler (maps and address geocoding). Address text is sent to MapTiler when a listing is geocoded or a map is displayed.
Retention and deletion
Account and listing data is kept while the account is active. To correct or delete your information, contact us via the support page and we will respond promptly.
Changes and contact
We will update this page if our practices change, and note the new effective date above. Questions? Reach us through the support page.
